Volunteer Requirements and Training

Camp is required to adhere to mandatory girl to adult ratios. Registration tent volunteers and setup/breakdown volunteers are not part of those ratios. Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast (GSCCC), our Girl Scout council, requires that adult volunteers meet the requirements as listed below.

All volunteers serving less than 16 hours (3 days or less) must complete the following:

All volunteers serving 16 hours or more (4 or more days) must complete the following:

  • Girl Scout membership
  • Live Scan
  • Mandated Reporter training
  • First Aid/CPR Training (Level 1) furnished or approved by council

Remote Camp Training Session

All volunteers must complete one virtual camp training session led by the volunteer coordinator. The virtual training will be through Google Meet or Zoom and will be approximately 1 hour long. Training will be offered on the following dates, and you may choose the date that is most convenient for you.

Camp Training Manual

Prior to the meeting you will receive a camp reference manual discussing camp philosophy, contact information, volunteer role descriptions, policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations.
